Every screen, in the order a show happens.

VUEMesh is a handful of pages, each one a job: the studio that runs the show, the beacon people scan, the cameras and microphones, the tools to mix and watch it, the screens that show it, and everything you recorded afterwards. Each opens in a browser. Here's what each one looks like.

Set up

On a laptop or desktop

The studio

The control room. Every camera and microphone as a tile, the program on air, and a switcher with CUT, AUTO and a T-bar.

  • Cut it yourself, or let the Auto Director
  • Break and black, lower thirds, clips
  • Record the program, stream it live
Start a show
On any screen

The beacon

One code on a screen. A phone scans it to join, and while the camera sees it, it reads the time inside, so every angle lines up to the frame later.

  • Put it on a TV, a spare laptop or a tablet
  • Shows who's in and who's recording
On a computer, a stick PC on a TV, or a newer tablet

The kiosk

A screen that runs a whole show by itself. It shows its code; guests scan in with their phones, and it directs and records with nobody at the controls.

Bring in sources

On a phone, a tablet or a laptop

The camera

Scan, tap, type a name: it's a camera in the show. It records itself in full quality and sends the file to the studio, while the studio sees a live picture.

  • Zoom, lens, exposure and focus
  • A tally light when it's on air
  • Messages from the director

On a phone or a tablet

The microphone

Any phone can be a microphone instead: set it down near the voice, or plug in a USB mic, and it records clean sound for the show.

  • Its own level meter
  • Pick which microphone it uses

Run the show

In the studio, or its own window

The audio mixer

A strip for every source: audio follows video, always on or off, a fader, EQ, balance and mono or stereo, with stereo meters for the program.

  • Pop out the audio console for spectrum and phase
In its own window

Camera control

Every camera side by side with a histogram and waveform, and its zoom, exposure, contrast and focus, set from here. Click the picture to focus there.

In its own window

The monitor

The health of the show at a glance: each source's network, battery and bitrate, what's coming in and going out, and the event log.

On your phone

The remote

Pair a phone and run the show from anywhere in the room: cut cameras, call a break, fade to black, start the recording.

Show it

On a TV, a projector, or any browser

TV screens

Open /tv, enter the show's code, and once the studio lets it in it shows the live program straight from the studio, browses the night's recordings, or becomes the beacon.

Open /tv
